As the weather warms up and we head toward the end of our regular spring season, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible effort our swimmers have put in over the past few months. Their progress and dedication have truly been inspiring!

While we're celebrating the conclusion of the spring season, we're also looking ahead and beginning preparations for our Summer Championship season.

🏁 2025 Spring Championship Swim Meet

The Cameron Family YMCA is thrilled to host the 2025 Spring Championship Swim Meeta great opportunity to celebrate all our swimmers’ growth with a fun and competitive finish to the season!

📍 Meet Location:

Cameron Family YMCA

10123 Riverwalk Dr, Santee, CA 92071

🚗 Parking:

Parking is available in the YMCA lot, along the street, and at Town Center East (accessible via a walking bridge).

🕗 Check-In:

7:30–9:00 AM

Swimmers must be checked in by 9:00 AM or they will be scratched from their events.

🗓️ Meet Timeline

• Warm-Up 1: 8:00–8:20 AM

• Warm-Up 2: 8:20–8:40 AM

• Warm-Up 3: 8:40–9:00 AM (Assigned after registration closes)

• Open Warm-Up: 9:00–9:20 AM

• Timer Meeting: 9:00 AM

• Coaches Meeting: 9:15 AM

• Meet Starts: 9:30 AM

Registration is now OPEN!

Register in person, by phone, or online at any YMCA branch.

👉 Closes: Wednesday, May 21st

💵 Entry Fees:

• $25 for one day

• $35 for both days

Event Limits:

Swimmers may enter up to 3 individual events and 1 relay per day.

🫶 Everyone Is Welcome

Whether your swimmer has been in every meet or this would be their first, we encourage all swimmers to participate! If you’re only available for one day, no worries—attending both days is encouraged but not required.

The meet will be officiated by parent volunteers, and only blatant rule violations will result in disqualification. Let’s keep it supportive and fun!

🎉 End-of-Season Celebration – June 12th!

We’re excited to invite all swim families to a season-ending celebration to recognize the incredible effort and progress made this season.

🗓 Date: Wednesday, June 12th

🕔 Time: 5:00–7:00 PM

📍 Location:Southbay YMCA – MPR (Multipurpose Room)

We have the option to host it indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather!

🍕 The YMCA will provide:

• Pizza

• Cookies

• Fruit platters

• Goodie bags

Parents are welcome to bring additional snacks or treats if they’d like to contribute. We’d love to hear your feedback or ideas—please feel free to talk to us on deck or send an email.

🏊 Practice Reminders – Don’t Forget Your Gear!

To help swimmers train safely and effectively, please make sure your child brings the following to every practice:

• Goggles

• Swim cap

• Fins

• Water bottle

• Towels

We are currently running low on loaner gear, so please ensure your swimmer has their own properly fitting equipment. Amazon has some great, affordable options for fins if you need a pair!
