Aug Newsletter
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Team Members,
I hope you're all enjoying the summer and gearing up for an exciting month! I am incredibly proud of our team’s progress, especially with the launch of our new Silver Team. We’ve seen tremendous growth, with a record-breaking 16 athletes registered for our upcoming meet. I’m hopeful that everyone who participated in the summer rec league meets will join us for the championship on August 10th and 11th. Your support truly makes a difference!
I also want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the parents. Your dedication—whether it’s transporting your kids to practice, volunteering at meets, or cheering from the stands—plays a crucial role in our success. Thank you for your ongoing commitment and support.
Child Safety Policy Update
In alignment with the YMCA’s safety guidelines, we are starting to enforce our child safety policy to ensure a secure environment for our young athletes. Here’sa brief summary of the key points:
- For Youth Aged 12 and Under: Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when entering or exiting the facility and while their program is underway. Parents should remain on the YMCA campus during their child’s program.
- Fitness Center and Group Classes: Children aged 12 and under need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Free/Family Swim: If parents are not required to be in the water, they must stay on the pool deck.
- Youth Aged 13+: May be at the YMCA without a parent or guardian.
To improve safety, parents will now need to drop their children off directly at the pool deck for check-in by coaching staff. This ensures proper supervision and accountability.
Please also update your emergency contact information to ensure we can reach you at moments notice.

- Goggles: Pack a spare pair.
- Swim Cap: Essential for reducing drag.
- Towels: Include a large towel for drying off and a smaller one for quick wipes.
